CARING FOR THE EXCLUDED
Although contexts and needs evolve, exclusion and inequality in relation to the common law systems still deprive some people of this fundamental right to health. ‘Kinés du Monde' volunteers work thousands of miles away but also down the road. Since 2017, we have been deploying our forces here, on our doorstep. We support the teams of the ‘Samu Social de Paris' in order to make physical therapy accessible to a population in great exclusion. We have also created networks of rehabilitation specialists to work with certain ‘Permanences d'Accès aux Soins de Santé (P.A.S.S.)'. People who do not have access to healthcare coverage can thus benefit from rehabilitation care.
We train the personnel of the structures that request our services in all regions of the world. Since 1987, we have been organizing intervention programs in response to requests from local structures: day care centers, dispensaries, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, etc. We have worked in many countries: India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Chad, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Mexico, etc. Our work involves transferring skills in terms of technical training, awareness and organization.
